Augusta University's online tools, explained for nursing students
An Augusta University nursing semester runs through six systems: the myAugusta portal, POUNCE for registration and records, D2L for your courses, JagTrax for your program audit, ExamSoft with Examplify for exams, and IT One Stop Help when something breaks. Clinical hours live somewhere else again, in a tracking system the College of Nursing approves.

myAugusta: the starting point for everything
myAugusta is the university portal, and the Current Students page lists what hangs off it: Pounce, Email, LMS D2L, JagCard, Find a Job, IT Help, one45, GoView, JAG Life, Housing and Course Email. Augusta University spells it both myAugusta and MyAugusta; it is one portal either way.
For a DNP student who lives in Savannah, Greenville or anywhere else in Georgia or South Carolina, myAugusta is how the campus reaches you. Bookmark it before your first term and keep it open during registration weeks.
University email runs on Outlook. The catalog asks students to read their Augusta University email every day because official notices travel that way, and College of Nursing policy CON21 treats Outlook and D2L as extensions of the classroom, so the professional conduct rules of a lecture hall apply to your messages and posts.
POUNCE: registration, records and graduation
POUNCE is the student information system, written both POUNCE and Pounce across Augusta University's pages. It is where you register, and during add/drop any change to your schedule goes through it. Registration for summer and fall opens in March and for spring in October; the academic calendar guide lists this year's exact windows.
POUNCE also carries the records that matter late in a program. When a course ends in an Incomplete, an instructor who agrees to more time files the extension there. Health Sciences students submit their graduation application in POUNCE too, according to the Graduate Student Handbook, so the deadline for your final term belongs on your calendar a semester ahead.
Use the course schedule search in POUNCE to confirm the part of term for each section you take. A clinical course that runs in a shorter part of term squeezes the same hours into fewer weeks.
D2L: where each course lives
D2L is Augusta University's learning management system, listed as LMS D2L among the portals. Syllabi, modules, discussion boards, assignment dropboxes and grades all sit there, and for an online DNP student it is the classroom for most of each week, so check every course site daily the way the catalog already expects you to check email.
Grades posted on D2L also start a clock. Under CON06, a grade appeal has to begin within 5 business days of the grade appearing in D2L, so check your course grades as soon as a term's evaluations post. The grades guide covers how clinical courses are scored.
One distinction trips students up: clinical hours are not recorded in D2L. They go into the separate College of Nursing tracking system described below, while D2L carries the rest of each course.
JagTrax: checking your plan of study
JagTrax is Augusta University's program audit tool, linked from the catalog. It matches the courses you have taken against the requirements of your program so you can see what remains.
Two College of Nursing processes feed it. A complete transfer evaluation report shows up in JagTrax once transfer work is reviewed, and policy CON08 sends course substitution requests to a JagTrax contact. Compare the audit each term against your plan of study from the College of Nursing; the Fall 2026 plans list every course, its term and its clinical or residency hours.
For NP students the audit is a quick way to confirm the clinical sequence is on track: Practice I, II and III for your population, then NURS 9192 with NURS 9191. The clinical hours guide shows how the hours add up by program.
ExamSoft and Examplify: how exams run
College of Nursing exams run on ExamSoft, and CON25's exam guidelines describe the routine: download the scheduled exam through ExamSoft ahead of time, then launch Examplify to sit it. ExamSoft has to be purchased every semester, so add it to your term budget alongside the tracking system subscription.
For online exams, CON25 puts the proctor on the student: you arrange an official online proctor yourself and pay what that costs. Augusta University's pages do not name a remote proctoring vendor, so read each course's instructions in D2L before exam week.
Exam scores carry real weight in the DNP. CON27 says DNP students must average 80 on examinations before other assignments are added into the final grade. BSN and CNL students also pay for HESI resources, a cost CON14 assigns to those two programs.
IT One Stop Help and the other systems you will meet
When a tool fails, the Help Desk, branded One Stop Help, is the first stop. Its Online Service Portal lets you submit a ticket or search the knowledgebase, and the IT page lists separate help lines for the university and the health system. Box is the file-sharing service, and many College of Nursing documents, from plans of study to student policies, are Box files.

- The clinical tracking system: an approved College of Nursing platform that NP students subscribe to and pay for, used for clinical hours and DNP residency logs. Augusta University does not name it publicly; the tracking system guide covers what is known.
- Medicat Connect: the Student Health portal where immunization records are submitted, part of clinical compliance.
- NursingCAS and the Augusta University applicant portal: where admission happens, and where instructions to order the background check and drug screen appear after acceptance.
- one45 and GoView: listed on the Current Students portal page; your program will tell you if either applies to you.

Questions Augusta University students ask
Is D2L the same as Brightspace at Augusta University?
Augusta University's pages call its learning system D2L, or LMS D2L in the portal list, and the pages we checked do not use another brand name. Whatever appears on screen, your course sites, posted grades and the five-business-day grade appeal clock under CON06 all run through that one system.
Which system records my clinical hours at Augusta University?
Neither D2L nor POUNCE. The DNP handbook says students use an approved College of Nursing clinical tracking system for residency hours, and that NP students log clinical hours there as well. Students subscribe and pay for access, and the university does not publish the system's name, so your course faculty will direct you to it.
Do Augusta University nursing students pay for ExamSoft?
Yes. CON25 says ExamSoft must be purchased each semester. For exams taken online, students also arrange an official online proctor and cover that cost themselves. Amounts are not printed in the policy, so check your course materials and the university's fee pages for the current figures.
Where do I find my transfer credit evaluation?
In JagTrax. The catalog says the complete transfer evaluation report appears there once the review is done. CON08 sets the rules on what transfers: courses from the previous five years, a grade of B or better, and no more than a quarter of a program's hours.
What should I do if a system goes down before an exam or deadline?
Open a ticket through IT One Stop Help's Online Service Portal right away, then tell your course faculty in writing through Outlook or D2L what happened and when. A timestamped ticket and a prompt message give faculty what they need to decide on any extension.
